Kiran Millwood Hargrave

Kiran is the Sunday Times bestselling, award-winning author of novels for children and adults, including The Girl of Ink & Stars, A Secret of Birds & Bone, and The Mercies. Her books have won awards such as the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, the British Book Awards Children's Book of the Year, Le Prix Rive Gauche à Paris, and the Blackwells Children's Book of the Year, and been short- and long-listed for numerous others including the Costa Book Awards, the Foyles Book of the Year, the CILIP Carnegie Medal, and the Prix Femina.  Kiran lives in Oxford with her husband, the artist Tom de Freston, and their rescue cat, Luna.
