Derek Miller

Derek B. Miller is an American novelist, academic, and international affairs specialist. He is the author Norwegian by Night, The Girl in Green, American by Day, Radio Life, and the forthcoming books Quiet Time and How to Find Your Way in the Dark. Miller has a Ph.D. in international relations from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, a Masters in National Security Studies from Georgetown University and studied at Oxford, Hebrew University, and Sarah Lawrence College. Before becoming a novelist, he worked for a decade as researcher and manager at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research on a range of arms control, peace and security, and development-related initiatives as well as numerous think tanks and NGOs.
